What is Flonase?

Who should not use Flonase?
• Before using this medication, tell your doctor if you have a viral, bacterial,or fungal infection of any kind flonase for reduction of tumors. The absorption of this drug into your systemcan inhibit your body's ability to fight off infections flonase for reduction of tumors. You may not be ableto use Flonase if you have an infection flonase for reduction of tumors.
• Fluticasone is in the FDA pregnancy category C flonase for reduction of tumors. This means that it isnot known whether Flonase will harm an unborn baby flonase for reduction of tumors. Do not use this medicationwithout first talking to your doctor if you are pregnant flonase for reduction of tumors.
• It is not known whether fluticasone passes into breast milk flonase for reduction of tumors. Do not useFlonase without first talking to your doctor if you are breast-feeding a baby flonase for reduction of tumors.
• Flonase is not approved for use by children younger than 4 years of age flonase for reduction of tumors.

How should I use Flonase?
• Use Flonase spray exactly as directed by your doctor flonase for reduction of tumors. Read the informationinsert included with your medication flonase for reduction of tumors. If you do not understand these instructions,ask your pharmacist, nurse, or doctor to explain them to you flonase for reduction of tumors.
• To use the nasal spray:
· Shake the bottle gently and then remove the dust cover flonase for reduction of tumors.
· It is necessary to prime the pump into the air the first time it isused, or when you have not used it for a week or more flonase for reduction of tumors. To prime the pump, holdthe bottle with the nasal applicator pointing away from you and with your forefingerand middle finger on either side of the nasal applicator and your thumb underneaththe bottle flonase for reduction of tumors. Press down and release the pump three to four times until a finespray appears flonase for reduction of tumors. The pump is now ready to use flonase for reduction of tumors.
· Blow your nose to clear your nostrils flonase for reduction of tumors.
· Close one nostril flonase for reduction of tumors. Tilt your head forward slightly and, keeping thebottle upright, carefully insert the nasal applicator into the other nostril flonase for reduction of tumors.
· Start to breathe in through your nose, and while breathing in pressfirmly down once on the applicator to release the spray flonase for reduction of tumors. Use your forefingerand middle finger to spray while supporting the base of the bottle with yourthumb flonase for reduction of tumors. Breathe gently inwards through the nostril flonase for reduction of tumors. Breathe out through yourmouth flonase for reduction of tumors.
· If a second spray is required in that nostril, repeat the above steps flonase for reduction of tumors.

· Wipe the nasal applicator with a clean tissue and replace the dustcover flonase for reduction of tumors.
· Do not use this bottle for more than 120 sprays even though the bottleis not completely empty flonase for reduction of tumors.
• Clean the nasal spray at least once a week flonase for reduction of tumors. Remove the dust cover andthen gently pull upwards to free the nasal applicator flonase for reduction of tumors. Wash the applicator anddust cover under warm tap water flonase for reduction of tumors. If the nasal applicator becomes blocked, letit soak in warm water flonase for reduction of tumors. Do not try to unblock the nasal applicator by insertinga pin or other sharp object flonase for reduction of tumors. Allow the pieces to dry at room temperature, thenplace the applicator and dust cover back on the bottle flonase for reduction of tumors.
• Do not use more of this medication than is prescribed for you flonase for reduction of tumors. Neveruse more than two sprays in each nostril (200 mcg) per day flonase for reduction of tumors. It may take a fewweeks to see the effects of Flonase flonase for reduction of tumors. Talk to your doctor if your symptoms donot improve or if they get worse
• Store Flonase at room temperature away from moisture and heat flonase for reduction of tumors.

What happens if I miss a dose ?
• Use the missed dose as soon as you remember flonase for reduction of tumors. However, if it is almosttime for your next regularly scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and use thenext one as directed flonase for reduction of tumors. Do not use a double dose of this medication flonase for reduction of tumors.

What happens if I overdose?
• An overdose of this medication is not likely to occur flonase for reduction of tumors. If you do thinkthat an overdose has occurred, call an emergency room or poison control center flonase for reduction of tumors.

What should I avoid while using Flonase?
• Avoid items or activities that you know are allergens for you if theymake your symptoms worse flonase for reduction of tumors. Clean areas where dust or pet fur may aggravate yourcondition flonase for reduction of tumors.
• Avoid exposing yourself to known sources of infection flonase for reduction of tumors. Stay away frompeople with chicken pox, measles, or any other type of infection flonase for reduction of tumors. Your immunesystem may not be strong enough to fight off an infection while you are usingFlonase flonase for reduction of tumors.

What are the possible side effects of Flonase?

Stop usingFlonase and seek emergency medical attention if you experience an allergic reaction(difficulty breathing; closing of your throat; swelling of your lips, tongue,or face; or hives) flonase for reduction of tumors.
• Other, less serious side effects may be more likely to occur flonase for reduction of tumors. Continueto use Flonase and talk to your doctor if you experience
· stinging or burning of the nose;
· sneezing after application;
· yeast infection in the nose or throat (white patches);
· bleeding nose;
· perforated septum (inside center of nose);
· increased pressure in the eyes, glaucoma, or tearing of the eyes;
· headache or lightheadedness;
· nausea;
· cough;
· asthma symptoms;
· nasal stuffiness or a runny nose; or
· unpleasant (or loss of) taste or smell flonase for reduction of tumors.
• Side effects other than those listed here may also occur flonase for reduction of tumors. Talk to yourdoctor about any side effect that seems unusual or that is especially bothersome flonase for reduction of tumors.

What other drugs will affect Flonase?
• Before using this medication, tell your doctor and pharmacist about anyother drugs you are taking flonase for reduction of tumors. The use of other oral or inhaled steroids may increasethe chance of side effects or overdose flonase for reduction of tumors.
